EV Batteries

Electric vehicle batteries can be completely characterized using Greenlight's battery testing equipment.

Battery technology presents the the biggest hurdle in the transition to electric vehicles. Current batteries do not provide the range of fossil-fuel-powered vehicles, and they take take a lot longer to recharge than the time it takes to fill a standard gasoline tank. However, battery technology is still being developed. Research is now focusing on new battery compounds that might prove to be the breakthrough that lets electric vehicle performance equal or surpass that of gasoline-powered cars. Lithium ion is the current favored chemistry, but other, more exotic compounds are being researched, such as zinc-air and lithium-polymer. Greenlight electric vehicle battery test equipment provides the much needed technology to assist in the challenges of bringing these new devices to market.
