Office Administrative Assistant, Burnaby BC
We are recruiting for a full-time office administrative assistant to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, and support the work of management and other staff and be the 'manager of office happiness.'

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to management and team leaders

• Make travel, meeting and other arrangements 

• Assist the marketing department with organizing trade shows and company events 

• Manage office supplies and coordinate the maintenance of office equipment

• Be the sustainability practices champion

• Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization's databases, code and file as required

• Support the finance department as a back-up for accounting tasks

• Assist with new employee on-boarding tasks

• Communicate with facility service providers

• Coordinate catered lunches during customer visits

• Maintain tidiness of  coffee room, meeting rooms

• Create spreadsheets, prepare reports and other documents

• Other duties as required 

 

Your Profile, Qualifications and Skills:  

 You have an interest in both sustainability practices and maintaining the culture of a cleantech company

 Proficiency in computer programs including MS Office Suite 

 Post secondary education in business, computers, or office management is an asset 

 At least 3 years of experience in an office administration role

 Experience establishing and maintaining positive working relationships; we're looking for a friendly people person

 Review and fact-checking skills and accuracy in numerical calculations and documentation with a strong attention to detail

 Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

 Able to work independently and assess importance, urgency and risks to make clear, timely decisions in the best interests of the organization

 Experience with customer service or marketing would be an asset
