PLC Software Developer
We are seeking a PLC Software Developer to join our Software team. This role is responsible for planning, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining Greenlight test station software.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and maintain Greenlight PLC test station code base, using IEC-61131 languages

  • Configure PLC software for new test equipment builds and develop systems to automate configuration activities

  • Work with Engineering teams to develop and update existing PLC software

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date software documentation

  • Work with in-house system integration team for testing and troubleshooting

  • Write interfaces to devices such as network I/O, measurement and testing equipment, and variable speed drives

  • Develop software for Safety PLC hardware to meet system functional safety requirements (e.g. SIL)

  • Develop processes for testing and troubleshooting of PLC software

  • Other duties as required

Your Profile and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Software Development

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing software in PLC using IEC-61131 structured text and function block diagram

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation: P&ID, I/O lists, electrical drawings, BOMs, and description of operations

  • Experience with process engineering hardware (e.g. pumps, heaters, valves, instrumentation)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills of electro-mechanical systems

  • Knowledge of safety systems and their associated design concept

  • Experience in developing and maintaining large PLC applications and libraries would be an asset

  • An interest in contributing to the success of a clean tech company
