Inside Sales Engineer
We are looking for a Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. This vital role reports to the Chief Commerical Officer and acts as a liaison between our customers and operations team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Enter and track sales opportunities in CRM

• Respond to quotation requests by phone, email, or in person

• Discuss requirements with customers, and sales representatives

• Understand customer technical requirements and specifications during pre-sales and proposal stages

• Compile information from engineering teams to support proposal preparation (information, reports, drawings and data)

• Liaise with Greenlight engineering teams to develop and cost customized solutions as required

• Prepare technical and pricing documents, often according to strict timelines/purchasing procedures

• Prepare professional quotes and proposal documents

• Respond to formal, government/institutional tender/bid requests

• Prepare, maintain and create templates and tools used in the sales process

• Effectively answer customers’ technical questions

• Coordinate, host and facilitate customer meetings

• Provide voice of customer input in researching and developing new products

• Support business development activities including trade shows, sales presentations, customer visits

• Travel to international trade shows and customer sites, as required 

 

Your Profile and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering

• Understanding of fuel cell and battery industry

• Experience in the operating principles, and/or testing of hydrogen fuel cell, battery, flow battery, electrolyser, and/or other electrochemical devices, is preferred

• Experience/skills/understanding of scientific research process, scientific/engineering instruments, chemical process equipment and electromechanical systems are valuable

• Ability to read and understand P&ID (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) and HV/DC electrical diagrams is an asset

• A strong business acumen, particularly with respect to sales, contracts, procurement

• Strong organization and time-management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects

• A creative thinker with solid analytical skills (ideally a ‘big picture’ thinker who is able to occasionally get into the details)

• Self-starter who can follow established process, and can create new processes as required

• Ability to work with minimum supervision, according to process, yet know when to ask for help/guidance as required

• Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines

• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment

• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• German and/or Mandarin Chinese language skills, written and/or verbal, are valuable

• Superior in-person, email and telephone etiquette

• Strong interpersonal skills- both internally with colleagues and externally to customers

• Knowledge of commercial terms (Letters of Credit, INCOterms, Terms and Conditions)

• Strong MS Office skills

• Experience with CRM and ERP systems is an asset

• Willingness to travel occasionally
